Planned as a large mixed-use project in the heart of Boston, consisting of retail, office, arts and other community services, Tremont Crossing will be a significant addition to the commercial fabric of the City. Given the size of the parcel at 8 acres and its strategic location across from Northeastern University and the Longwood Medical Area (LMA), the project will feature a mix of large retail stacked vertically, small retail shops and restaurants fronting on Tremont Street, medical and collegiate office space, a brand new museum for the National Center for Afro America Artists (NCAAA), a large garage facility, and a public plaza complete with outdoor art. Designed by the renowned firms of Gund Partnership and Stull and Lee, the retail building, along with the entire project, will be designed in an urban style that will be modern, sophisticated, environmentally-conscious, pedestrian-friendly and will make a true architectural statement.
